A steam oven generates high-temperature steam and feeds it into the cavity, where it condenses on the door, walls and food surface and drains back to the cavity bottom. The puddle chains three complaints. Food bases sit in water, so crusts turn soggy and the crisp finish promised on the box never shows up. Drainage is slow and residual water never fully evaporates, so welds, rivets and cavity coatings soak for years and rust spots and odour follow. Condensate also runs down the door inner face into hinges and gaskets, bringing gasket mould and stiff hinges. Steam-generator scaling and output decay were covered in an earlier piece; this one handles the other half: where condensate comes from, where it pools, and whether it drains clean. Line testing measures temperature uniformity and steam output. Zoned condensate volumes, bottom accumulation and drain times have no number.
Safety to GB 4706.1 and GB 4706.22 (stationary cooking ranges, hobs and similar appliances), IEC 60335-2-6 as the counterpart basis; water-path component reliability assessed with reference to the relevant IEC 60730 clauses. Drain speed, accumulation limits and corrosion criteria can follow the customer standard, sampling to GB/T 2828.
Three stations over three modes deliver a full accumulation history from single runs to back-to-back batches within a week. The temperature-field-only check becomes a design input with return-path zoning, accumulation figures and drain times. Structural iterations, gasket and hinge matching and after-sales puddle complaints share one bench.
