The thermostatic mixing valve is the temperature fuse of a shower, an under-sink hot loop or a heating terminal. Set at 38 °C, the wax or memory-alloy cartridge is expected to pin the outlet near the setpoint while cold and hot inlet pressures and flows keep changing. Real usage never stops changing: a washing machine starts and the cold side pressure dips, the water heater cycles and the hot side jumps, scale deposits in the cartridge sleeve year by year. Stacked together, these shifts push the outlet out of the tolerance band, and the complaints cluster in winter: temperature swings mid-shower, an anti-scald stop that never acts, and a real scald risk for children and the elderly. Line inspection usually covers pressure testing and a few ten-thousand open-close cycles. Accuracy under pressure fluctuation, stabilization time and accuracy decay over the second half of life have no number at all.
Accuracy, pressure fluctuation and anti-scald response to EN 1111 and EN 1287 (thermostatic mixing valves), with the thermostatic clauses of GB 18145 as the counterpart basis; wetted parts assessed to GB/T 17219. Tolerance bands, stabilization and cut-off criteria can follow the customer standard, sampling to GB/T 2828.
Six stations with an automatic pressure matrix deliver a full accuracy history from new to tens of thousands of cycles within a week. The “leak test plus cycling” spot check becomes an accuracy report with excursion curves, stabilization times and anti-scald records. Incoming cartridges, valve-level matching and after-sales temperature-swing complaints share one bench.
