Fans installed cold, tested warm? Six stations at -40C with loaded on-off cycling make the life report count

Popularity:2Time of publication:2026/11/6 20:54:01

Model: NL-FJGW-6

The problem

A refrigerator fan assembly spends its life switching on and off at -18C in the freezer, and a room-temperature life report means nothing there: grease thickens, plastic blades embrittle and the inrush current peaks differ sharply from bench conditions. Appliance makers want low-temperature, loaded runs with settable voltage and on-off profiles - no manual shift in a cold room can shepherd six fans through several hundred thousand cycles.

Capability

One sealed, independently controlled cavity carries six fan assemblies at once. Motor-mounting fixtures adjust over 7-30cm hole spacing at the bottom and sides, and fan ports are interchangeable for different mounting structures. Before the run, operators set on and off times (each 1-999s), the cycle count (to 999999) and the test voltage (DC 5, 12 or 24V, up to 130 percent of rated for accelerated overvoltage testing); control runs either from the main-board programme or by current interruption. During the run, current sensors judge each fan start and stop, the speed is read back from the main board and compared with the set model, and any deviation stops the machine. A high-accuracy power-calibration rig (power analyser, control PC and supply) holds DC output error below 0.1 percent and logs voltage, current and power for upload. An insulated glass door with a low-temperature camera keeps the run visible and recorded. A 20kW duct heater and a low-temperature refrigeration compressor system hold any setpoint from -40 to 70C. The cabinet has anti-condensation door-frame heaters, high-temperature seals, a seam-welded liner with a drain channel, and an imported compressor on environmentally friendly refrigerant. Over-speed, over-torque and over-power monitoring stop the test automatically; data is stored, retrieved by job number and turned into reports automatically.
