Purifier Output Fades From a Rush to a Trickle and the Tank Gurgles After Shut-Off? NL-PTK-4 Bladder Charge Bench, Six Stations (pump test bench)

Popularity:3Time of publication:2026/10/27 9:12:44

Water purifiers that fade from a rush to a trickle within two years, so filling a glass takes half a minute; a single gurgle from the tank after shut-off, and a rubbery taste in the first glass of the morning. The fault is usually the pressure tank: the bladder slowly loses its charge across thousands of fill and draw cycles, precharge falls from the 0.05-0.07MPa set at the factory toward zero, stored volume shrinks and the booster pump starts short-cycling; once the diaphragm tears, water crosses into the air chamber, the taste follows and the air valve may even spit water. The line runs one static hold test at the end of assembly, so how much precharge survives several hundred cycles and when the diaphragm starts permeating are unknown — and the after-sales fix is a new tank.

What the NL-PTK-4 bladder charge bench measures

  • Six stations cycling a real draw-off rhythm — single draws of 1-2 litres, minutes apart, overnight static hold — reproducing one to three years of household duty in weeks (the constant-pressure and pressure-retention branch of a pump test bench)
  • Precharge decay curve: pressure read at the air valve at intervals and plotted against cycle count, showing whether the loss is gradual or falls off a cliff at some point
  • Diaphragm permeation and rupture: water at the air valve and a step change in tank pressure decay taken as the failure signal, with the cycle count of first occurrence logged
  • Outlet flow and usable volume: flow measured at the same pump pressure, giving the water volume actually available each cycle
  • Pump start-stop counting: starts logged for a fixed draw volume to quantify whether tank volume and pump match
  • Static hold and pressure resistance: 0.6-1.0MPa held for 30 minutes, with pressure drop and shell deformation recorded
  • Water quality comparison: ageing rates of diaphragm and shell on water blended to different hardness and chlorine levels
  • Barcode and batch binding, with raw data exported per unit for diaphragm and shell lot comparison

Applicable standards

GB/T 30307 (drinking water treatment units for household and similar use), QB/T 4143 (ultrafiltration water purifiers for household and similar use), GB 34914 (minimum allowable values of water efficiency and grades for reverse osmosis purifiers), GB 4706.1 (household appliances – general safety) and GB/T 2828 sampling; criteria can follow the customer’s standard and the tank construction.

Stations and throughput

Six stations running 24/7 turn a glass filled and timed by hand, plus a listen for the gurgle, into precharge pressure, flow and start-count data, with charge loss and diaphragm rupture rechecked round by round — so incoming tanks and diaphragms, and end-of-line machines, can all be sampled batch by batch, stopping weak output, odour and pump short-cycling before shipment.
