A micro-leak in a DC pump hides until the pump is assembled into the appliance, where it shows up as flow decay or noise. Manual water checks cannot keep pace and rely on operator judgment - so leaky parts roll downstream and come back as batch rework.
The tester sits directly in the pallet flow line: a stopper halts the incoming pallet, the operator loads the pump, the empty pallet flows on, and the machine completes pressurization, balancing, detection and judgment automatically. Differential-pressure leak instruments run at 0.4-0.6MPa supply and 0.1MPa test pressure with a 5s detection window; a calibration master is included. Combined takt stays within 10s, so 100% inline inspection is realistic. With dimensionally conforming parts the misjudgment rate is <=0.5%. Two stations carry independent electrical cabinets and test tooling, so one station can be serviced without stopping the other. Changeover takes <=5min within a series and <=15min across series by swapping the leak-test tooling. For smart-factory integration the PLC offers an Ethernet port speaking common protocols (e.g. Modbus TCP) into plant SCADA, with a wireless gateway mapping device status, fault codes and cumulative run time by tag table; alarm records are administrator-protected and survive restarts. Continuous production requirement exceeds 360h without major failure; interlocked guards, E-stop and warning markings are fitted.
