The problem

Hoses are the weakest link in sanitary and gas piping: braid bulging, liner swelling and fittings pulling apart usually show up only when a hose bursts at a user site. Manual pressurising and visual checks cannot reproduce the 0.8MPa hold, the 6MPa static proof, the 98degC hot-water duty or the 10-second water-hammer impact that the standards call for, and they leave no comparable record.

Capability

Three stations run one to three hoses in parallel, mounted at 90deg or 180deg as the standards require. Static proof pressure is settable from 0 to 6MPa with 0.01MPa control accuracy and no more than 0.02MPa deviation, covering the CJ/T 197-2010 0.8MPa one-minute proof as a baseline and going well beyond it for higher pressure classes. Pulsation pressure runs 0.2-3.5MPa at 0.05-1Hz (3-40 cycles per minute) with a choice of basic square wave or water-hammer wave. Media temperature is room temperature to 98degC (expandable to 0-100degC); the hot-water dynamic cycle, 82-93degC at 0.9MPa with a 3-minute preheat followed by ten impacts at 10-second intervals, is fully programmable and ends with a static hold at the set pressure. A 50L stainless tank with heating and temperature control is topped up automatically. Each station has independent pressure and flow adjustment, a vented plug at one end so air is expelled before pressurising, and a guarded door that must be closed before pressure can build. Configurable software logs pressure, media temperature, cycle count, frequency and waveform, saving data periodically so the whole test can be reviewed later. Over-pressure, over-temperature, burst and leakage stop the test automatically; E-stop and safety guarding allow unattended long runs.
