The problem

Leaks are only found after the valve is fitted to the boiler and rework doubles the cost; three parts with different ports mean swapping fixtures all day; and hold time and pressure set by feel let one missed leak become a string of complaints.

Capability

Bench tests water-tightness of the inlet connector assembly, outlet connector assembly and antifreeze valve of combi boilers, one machine with three dedicated fixtures. Inlet/outlet connectors: purge the line for at least 5s, pressurise to 0.3MPa, hold 15s and judge by leakage. Antifreeze valve: purge at 0.1-0.2MPa for at least 5s and check initial sealing, then rotate the handle to "-" aligned with the arrow, raise slowly to 300kPa and hold 10s with no drainage for a pass, then continue to 380kPa where intermittent drainage is allowed to verify the relief function. Digital pressure gauge with 0.001MPa resolution, mechanical stopwatch, dedicated fixtures and stopper rod, start/stop buttons, compact bench for line stations.
